Our mobile website project for the City of Kingsville came about when city leaders had difficulty accessing the city site on their iPads. The existing website, which was designed by another firm, was not responsive for accessing on tablets and mobile devices. In this instance, specific problems such as re-coding the navigation menu to work with a touchscreen needed to be addressed.
Our team ultimately addressed those problems by building a mobile site that utilizes the same features and content as the website, but now gives users of smartphones and tablets the ability to access the site and all of its features on the go. The mobile site is specifically designed to support the ever changing needs of the city’s departments and can even act as a “Web App” for iOS devices with a custom splash screen and icon.
